Our collaboration with this NGO began in summer 2025, with the goal of protecting
their social media discussions from hate speech, harassment, and harmful content
while preserving constructive public dialogue.

Since the start of the partnership, we have:

  • Processed total of 223,064 comments
  • Hidden 62,328 comments due to hate speech, vulgarity, or abusive behavior. This represents nearly one-third of all published comments

Nature of Harmful Content

The majority of harmful content fell into the following categories:

  • Religious hate speech directly targeting the beliefs and identity of the minority group
  • Racist remarks and dehumanizing language
  • Conspiracy narratives aimed at defaming believers by falsely associating them with crimes and extremist activities
  • Incitement to hatred and coordinated harassment patterns

This combination of ideological hostility, misinformation, and organized abuse created a high-risk environment for community members and required continuous, real-time moderation.

Peak Moderation Event

The most significant spike in moderation volume occurred on December 14, when the Jewish religious minority became the target of a violent attack at Bondi Beach.

Daily Moderation Impact:

  • 6,938 comments processed in one day (highest single-day volume)
  • 2,191 comments hidden due to hate speech and incitement
  • Nearly one-third of all comments that day violated platform and community standards

Despite the tragic nature of the event, some individuals exploited the situation to spread hatred, justify violence, and incite further hostility, making rapid and accurate moderation critical.
